Ormy · Version 1.0 · Effective 6 August 2026
Subscriptions bought inside the Ormy app are sold through the Apple App Store. Apple is the merchant of record: Apple takes your payment, Apple issues the receipt, and only Apple can reverse the charge. We never see your card details and we have no mechanism to refund you ourselves.
That is not us passing the buck. It is how in-app purchases work on iOS, and it is worth knowing because it means a refund request sent to us alone will be slower than one sent to Apple.
You can also do this on your device: Settings → your name → Media & Purchases → View Account → Purchase History, then tap the charge.
Apple usually decides within 24 to 48 hours, and pays approved refunds back to your original payment method within about a week. The decision is Apple's, not ours.
Email kyle.orm@turbolt.co.uk with the word "Refund" in the subject and tell us what happened. We will:
Please include the Apple receipt or order ID if you have it — it makes everything faster.
Deleting the Ormy app does not cancel your subscription. Deleting your Ormy account does not cancel it either. Cancellation happens through Apple, and if you skip that step you will keep being billed.
To cancel: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Ormy → Cancel Subscription.
If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you have a statutory right to cancel a distance contract within 14 days of entering into it, without giving a reason. That right exists whatever any policy says, and this section explains how it applies here.
How it works for a subscription. When you subscribe, you ask for the service to begin immediately. That does not remove your right to cancel within 14 days — but it does mean that if you cancel part-way through, we may keep an amount in proportion to the service you have already received. In practice, on a subscription this short, that amount is usually small or nil.
How to use it. Because Apple is the merchant of record, Apple operates this right on our behalf: submit the request through reportaproblem.apple.com and say that you are exercising your statutory right to cancel. You may also tell us by email at kyle.orm@turbolt.co.uk, using any clear statement — there is no form to fill in — and we will support the request with Apple.
If Apple refuses a request you are legally entitled to, tell us. We will take it up on your behalf, and where Apple will not resolve it we will make it right ourselves by other means.
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or your equivalent national law, including your right to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund where digital content is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.
We would rather have a fair reputation than an extra month's fee. We will support your request to Apple in every one of these cases:
Being straight with you, so you are not left waiting on a "maybe":
If in future you buy an Ormy subscription directly from us — through our website rather than the App Store — then we are the merchant, and this applies instead:
At the date of this policy, all Ormy subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store, so section 2 is the route that applies to you.
If something has gone wrong, please come to us or to Apple first. A chargeback raised with your bank without contacting either of us costs more to resolve and takes far longer for you. We may suspend an account with an unresolved chargeback until it is settled — but we will always try to reach you first.
